They're actually two different services - the domain registration is the actual name and nothing else, while the hosted domains feature reveals the amount of already registered domain names which you could accommodate within the same hosting account and have website data and e-mails for them. Your sites will function in precisely the same way no matter whether the domain addresses are registered and hosted in one place or are registered with company A and directed to company B. Simply registering a domain address without hosting it will give you ownership, but will not allow you to have a web site until you host this domain name in some account so that records for it are created and it starts opening the content from that account.

As our semi-dedicated servers are quite powerful, we've decided not to put any limit on the number of the domain addresses that you can host if you purchase such a plan. This feature is unlimited by default, and not on demand or following some upgrade, it is therefore your decision how many domain names you will add and how you'll employ the system resources of your semi-dedicated hosting account. The plans are handled using our custom Hepsia web hosting Control Panel which will permit you to see and manage all hosted domain addresses in one location, erasing the need to go through different accounts as you will need to do with all the other web hosting Control Panels. There's also no limit how many domain names you can register or transfer and it's your choice how many of them you are going to host within the account.

Hosted Domains in VPS Servers

Our Linux VPS plans can be used to host unrestricted number of domain addresses regardless of the hosting Control Panel that you select during the ordering procedure. You'll get ample system resources to use, so you can choose how many domains will use them. If you get the VPS with DirectAdmin or cPanel, you can create an independent hosting account for each domain address and we do not have a limit for the amount of accounts that you can create. If you pick our Hepsia Control Panel, all domain addresses are going to be handled using one account i.e. there will not be a main domain name and add-on domains as with the other Control Panels. The second alternative may be more convenient if you don't need to grant access to a certain domain to other people and you do not want to switch between accounts to manage the domain names that you host on the server. Moreover, any new domain address which you register through Hepsia shall be hosted automatically on the server without doing anything manually afterward.
