A: The website migration service provided by Karn Hosting is totally free and involves transferring all your web files, databases and e–mails from your present provider to your brand new web hosting account with us. We’ll also update all the settings necessary for your websites to be completely functional on our ultra–modern cloud hosting platform.Our technicians are completely capable of transferring any type of web site. With years of work experience in the industry, they’re well–versed in the specificities of our hosting platform, our Control Panel as well as all other popular Control Panels. For them, transferring a custom–built web application with a lot of custom libraries is as elementary as transferring a simple WordPress–based blog.

A: While we cannot give you a precise time window, since there are many factors, among them the size of the files and databases, the location of the current host’s server, the complexity of your website and the present workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we will do our best to transfer your web site within 48h, and in certain cases – within 24h (in case the content is not large).

A: We’ll need the login details for your old hosting provider’s Control Panel as well as the site’s name (domain name).

A: Before we can begin the transfer of your account, you must already have an account with us. Opening an account with us requires that you to disclose pretty much the same information you have provided to your previous web host. We also have a very strict Privacy Policy, which describes how personal information is tackled.

A: Nope. Your site will stay fully operational during the transfer. Once everything is done on our end, we will let you know so that you can preview it and check for problems. If everything is alright, all you will have to do is modify your domain’s DNS records.

A: While we transfer your website content, your hosting provider won’t be aware of the transfer at all. We won’t touch base with them in any way.

A: Yes. We support all conventional Linux–powered web hosting platforms. We do not support Windows–powered hosting platforms, because we don’t offer Windows hosting solutions ourselves.Furthermore, we do not support proprietary website building and management user interfaces such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
